A corporate culture shaped by long-term commitment

The loyalty and commitment of our first employees have been instrumental to our strong growth and corporate culture. Meet Margarida Lencastre and Cláudia Silva Costa, who have been with Nordberg Medical since the early days and have helped shape the diverse, collaborative environment that defines our company today.

Employee commitment behind our growth

The past four years at Nordberg Medical have been characterized by rapid expansion and strong growth. Our dermal bio-activator JULÄINE™ of Sweden is presently licensed for use in more than 35 countries and we will continue to open new markets in the near future.

A prerequisite for this rapid growth has been our continuous recruitment of talented professionals from around the world. Equally important has been the loyalty and commitment of those who have been with us since the very beginning.

Employee number 3

Margarida Lencastre is Digital Communications & Content Manager at Nordberg Medical. When she joined the company in March 2022, she was employee number 3, at a time when the company had only two other permanent employees: Jack Yu, CEO, and Garth Reynolds, COO & CCO.

"I've had a front-row seat to Nordberg Medical and JULÄINE growing from an ambitious startup into a global brand. Being part of that journey has given me the opportunity to help shape how we communicate, how we're perceived, and ultimately how our identity has evolved."  says Margarida Lencastre.

Looking toward the future

Another employee who joined Nordberg Medical in the early days was Cláudia Silva Costa. She initially worked on specialized quality tasks, but subsequently her role evolved, leading to her appointment as Senior Quality Assurance Manager.

“I wanted to be somewhere that didn’t just follow the status quo but looked toward the future of medical technology,” comments Cláudia Silva Costa.

A culture rich in diversity

Aesthetic medicine is an industry where laws and regulations, cultural norms, and beauty ideals can vary significantly from one country to another. This means that employees often need a deep understanding of their local markets while also being able to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, international teams that span these differences.

”The culture at Nordberg Medical is defined by its rich diversity and high level of professionalism. It’s a unique environment where you work alongside colleagues from many different backgrounds and cultures. What makes it a great place to work is this “melting pot” of expertise—it creates a space where knowledge-sharing is natural. It’s a culture of mutual respect and continuous growth,” says Cláudia Silva Costa.

Making a real-world impact

Nordberg Medical develops advanced biomaterials that unlock the body’s regenerative power in medical aesthetics and beyond.

“Nordberg Medical moves fast and is always evolving, but that’s what makes it exciting. There’s a real feeling that what we do matters, and that you can see and feel the impact of your work every day,” says Margarida Lencastre.

Success from working as a team

From the very beginning, Nordberg Medical has been dedicated to creating a workplace where each employee's unique strengths are valued and embraced, while maintaining a strong focus on the importance of collaboration.

“It’s a very supportive place, where you feel trusted, encouraged and backed by the people around you. You’ll quickly learn that real success here comes from working as a team. Collaboration isn’t just encouraged—it’s essential,” says Margarida Lencastre.

“If you are proactive and collaborative, you will find that Nordberg Medical is a place where you can truly build something meaningful and see your career progress,” adds Cláudia Silva Costa.
